Kids & Students

kindergarten-5th grade

Welcome to City Limits for children in Kindergarten to 5th grade.

Elementary-age kids are in a constant state of discovery. Think about all the different things they are trying for the first time and what they’re learning every day, even how to make (and keep) friends. Our Elementary classes (K- 5th grades) are geared to intentionally help the spiritual development of our young students to grow in Wisdom, Faith, and Friendship. It is our prayer that by the time they leave the 5th grade they will be able to say:

* I need to make the wise choice.

* I can trust God no matter what.

* I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

So, how will our team do this? It’s impossible unless our team joins the momentum you generate within your family. At Valley Real Life, we are part of a movement called Orange. We believe that the church and family were made to work together to raise our children to be world changers. When parents embrace their God-ordained authority and lead their children to know God, then we as a church can support and resource this faith step. We will do this by focusing in on 3 Basic Truths, teaching them 36 Different Virtues, and 150 different Bible Stories.

How it Works:

  • First time visitors will need to register at our BIGtown front desk.
  • Once your child is enrolled into our programs, you will check your child into his/her grade level classroom and be given a duplicate security bracelet that matches you with your child.
  • When your child is in the class, the hour begins with a fun Small Group activity that will prepare their hearts to engage the lesson for the day.
  • Next, they will join with all grades (K-5th) in a high energy creative Large Group environment of worship, skits, and creatively told Bible stories. Each lesson will have a “Bottom Line” that will be reinforced in many different ways.
  • Finally, your child will return to their classroom where they will do projects and games that will reinforce the Bottom Line once again.
  • When church is over you will simply sign your child out on the class check-out form, show your bracelet number as the Small Group Leader matches it to your child’s, and now…
  • The baton is passed to you in the form of creative take-home pages that you will be able to use to train your child in developing a personal relationship with Jesus. These take-home pages consist of 4 devotionals a week with activities, projects, family discussion questions, and a monthly memory verse for your family to work on together.
  • Thank you for visiting BIGtown where “Living BIG together” is our purpose!
