WELCOME TO WOMEN'S MINISTRY
VRL Women’s Ministry is the perfect opportunity for you to connect with other women in our church community. We admit to being imperfect, Jesus-loving, authentic women who desire to partner with you on this adventurous, yet sometimes difficult, walk of faith. You will discover a welcoming environment where women follow Jesus as Lord, friendships are developed, and laughter is contagious.
Women’s Ministry offers a dynamic MOMS GROUP where the busyness of this season in life can be shared and enjoyed with other moms. Inspiring BIBLE STUDIES & trustworthy SMALL GROUPS provide opportunity for growth—in deepening your relationship with Christ, and in fellowship with other women on the same journey. PRAYER AND WORSHIP GROUPS set aside dedicated time weekly to pray and honor the Lord. Our MENTORING MINISTRY desires to connect Christian women to come alongside you with wisdom and encouragement in your commitment to walk by faith, not by sight. SPECIAL EVENTS throughout the year provide additional opportunities to gather as women of God—to celebrate and discover how to stand firm on this adventure of faith.
There are several ways you can take your next step in joining other women within the VRL church family. We invite you to consider a place where you can belong and do real life together with other women.

Titus2 Mentoring Women is a transforming discipleship journey for women who desire to grow deeper in their relationship with God. If you’re ready to take your next step in the adventure of faith, if you’re ready to be challenged and deepen your commitment to Christ—and do so with a loving community of women—then Titus2 is for you! Convenient monthly meetings, conducive to the group’s needs, make it flexible so women in all seasons and stages of life can participate.
One Mentor guides five to six women for 10 months in a small group setting. This Mentor helps nurture spiritual partnership, cultivate accountability and encourage development. Titus2 includes journaling, prayer, Bible study, scripture memory, and discussion of a relevant topic each month.
THE MENTOR: God’s Word is very specific about “older women equipping and training younger women” (Titus 2:3-5), encouraging them, challenging them and loving them. If you feel called to be a Mentor and would like more information about this opportunity to invest in the lives of women, please contact Terina, at email@example.com or Hester at firstname.lastname@example.org (Mentor applications are received September & October.)
THE MENTEE: If you’re a woman hungering for more depth and who desires to be mentored, please mark your calendars for one of the Mentee Informational Meetings: November 15th or 18th for 30 minutes following each service.
Mentee applications will be received starting November 15, 2018. Application deadline is January 15, 2019.
Cost ranges from $50-$150 depending on book choice.

Joy is the constant companion of the woman who trusts in the Lord. And while you can find it in friends, family, and circumstances, unfailing, persistent joy will only ever overflow from your relationship with Jesus. Just ask Job, the man from Uz who clung to God’s goodness while all his worldly joys were stripped away. But how is it possible to hold onto such joy in times of sorrow? In this 7-session study by Lisa Harper, held every other Friday evening in a private residence in the Spokane Valley, from 6:30pm-8:30pm January 18th-April 26th, discover the redemptive side to Job’s story of suffering. Learn to use pain to strengthen your faith, point others to the gospel, and remember God’s providence will never take you to a place where His grace will not sustain you.
