Like Care Groups, our Small Groups are another area where church happens. Different from a Care Group, a Small Group typically focuses on a particular topic for a set amount of time. It may be a Bible study or it may be a focus on money management. It may encourage better parenting or teach us how to be more understanding spouses. The topics are always accessible, Bible-based, and applicable to our lives today.
So take a look at our current offerings below. Don’t see the Small Group you’re looking for? Let us know! Many of our Small Group topics come from member suggestions. Think you’re ready to lead a Small Group? Let us know that too! In either case, be sure to contact Scott Sparley, Small Groups Pastor, at 509.232.0840 or at ssparley@valleyreallife.org.
Help for Parents
Are you looking for answers to these and other questions about raising your children?
- How do I get them out of bed in time to catch the bus?
- How do I stop my children from bickering and fighting?
- How do I get my children to help with the chores without an argument?
- Is there a way to discipline my toddler in public without creating a scene?
- How do I get my teenage daughter to come home at the agreed-upon time?
- How do I get him to stop spitting his peas and whining at dinner?
We may be able to help.
We firmly believe that bringing God’s timeless principles into family relationships is essential to winning the battle for the family. This passion serves as the foundation of our mission, “to effectively develop Godly families who change the world, one home at a time.” The parenting groups meet in a home setting for a limited period of time and cover a variety of parenting issues.
A 6 week parenting class will be offered in early 2010. Please check this location again soon for further details.
