We live in an environment where it is easy for men to become isolated and try to handle things on their own, and many choose to simply buckle down and try to get it done alone. Isolation is one of Satan's most powerful tactics used to take out, cripple and prevent men from walking with the Lord and becoming what God has intended them to be. The reality is that men are most vulnerable when they are alone. The enemy stalks those who are isolated because they are easy targets.
"A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated but two can stand back to back and conquer.” Ecclesiastes. 4:12 NLT
Men grow stronger in the company of men. At CATALYST, Valley Real Life's Men's Ministry, we seek to develop and equip men to pursue God's purpose for their lives with all their heart, soul, mind and strength. As men grow in relationship with one another, they will have a positive impact on their families, church, work environment and community and will glorify God by building faithful followers of Jesus Christ for generations to come.
CATALYST intends that no man shall walk alone and that every man, regardless of ethnicity, cultural background, physical condition or financial situation, will have the opportunity and resources to pursue God's purpose for their life in Jesus Christ.
Every CATALYST Men’s Ministry event or activity is purposeful in bringing men to a place where they are characterized by the following:
Committed to Christ in a daily walk that includes:
- Faithful time in prayer, the word and real relationships.
- Crucifying selfish desires.
- Committing to God’s will and provision.
- Matthew 6:33, Ephesians 4:22-25, Romans 12:12, Matthew 28:18-20
Challenged and encouraged to grow:
- In their walk with the Lord and to do the same with those around them.
- In serving, teaching, giving or in whatever way God has provisioned them.
- Romans 12:8, Colossians 1:10, Romans 12:11
Connected to other men in real, accountable and encouraging ways.
- 2 Timothy 2:22, Hebrews 3:13, Proverbs 27:17, Ecclesiastes 4:12
Consistently bringing every area of behavior--everything we think, say and do into a consistent pattern of honoring the Lord Jesus.
